Sister Sass

Inaugural Blog

Well hello! And welcome to our blog! We recently upgraded our CaDi Corners Website so decided this would be a good time to launch our blog. Sister Sass? What do we mean?
Well. . . . .
CaDi Corners is named for US – two sisters - Cathy and Diane! We get to chatting about our ideas, plans, goals, etc., and sometimes one of us has to tell the other to just be quiet and listen! With love, of course!

Diane and Cathy
Were we not CUTE?!!!! Diane is on the left and I am on the right.

When Diane and I were growing up, our Dad would always tell us kids (6 in all) that if we were saying something that sounded harsh, we had better “have a grin from ear to ear!”. Once, I had the nerve to sass talk to our other sister, Debbie. I was about 8 or 9 years old and my Mom dragged me into the house and washed my mouth out with soap. YUP! She crammed a bar of soap in my mouth and told me I was never to sass my older sister, EVER!!! Obviously that lesson has stuck with me all these years! I never sassed my sister Debbie again (not to mention I was blowing bubbles for quite a while!).

The Merriam-Webster dictionary defines Sassy as:
1. Impudent
2. Vigorous, lively
3. Distinctly smart and stylish

Having learned that lesson, this blog is not about being impudent, but bringing about a vigorous, lively, distinctly smart and stylish viewpoint of our quilting, embroidery, and sewing.
So here we go . . . .
We have a healthy appreciation for cotton:
A Quilt is Born

CaDi Corners recently received anew Christmas line and I would encourage you to check it out! After all, if the Hallmark Channel can spend the month of July playing Christmas movies, we can certainly spend the month working on Christmas projects!!!
Until next time . . .
