Greetings from CaDi Corners!!!
This morning, I grabbed up my Quilting Journal that I started last February, and much to my chagrin, found it quite empty! So, a new goal for this year is to keep it open on my desk and keep it up to date. But in all seriousness, my year 2023 was a whirlwind for sure. Moving is very hard! BUT, I believe it took the holidays to really motivate me to get the final ends tied up and start living here rather than unpacking!!!! A new year for me, and a new phase. I hope you will join me in a stitching journey.
SEW.... My Quilting Journal, really needs to be Quilting and Machine Embroidery Journal. It fits better that way for me!!! And so each Newsletter for this year, I hope to update you on my goals and progress. Yesterday, we got a shipment in and it inspired me to set in writing my first goals for 2024 and perhaps some of you will join me!

Fabric Blooming Blues by by Danielle Leone- a Wilmington Prints fabric. This year I want to have something ready for my table when the Tulips pop up! I planted Tulips in the fall right across from my dining room table. I love to have my table look pretty and my Wedgewood China - Amherst pattern is going to look fabulous with this fabric!!!! Goals: Placemats and coordinating napkins with a Table Runner. The placements and Table Runner I will make using Lori Holts Crazy Patch Paper for Charms, but I'm going to use the 10" Stacker that I will cut into 4 using my awesome Stripology XL Ruler or the Stripology Mini Ruler. In any case, they will come out perfect for sure using this great tool by GE Designs. |

Machine Embroidery We are Introducing Fabric Confetti! You must check these out if you are a Machine Embroidery and Quilter Enthusiast!!! The detail in Fabric Confetti's Embroideries is amazing. We have several new ones for you this month and will be adding more through the year! Did you know that we do an Embroidery Zoom each month beginning January? We meet 12 Noon on the 2nd Saturday of the month. Check out our calendar Page for details. Feel free to copy and paste the Zoom information to your calendar! It's a fun time. Can't wait to see what you are working on. It will also be a time to help those who have signed up for the PatchAbilities Embroidery of the Month. Hope you will join us!!! Some of you may have seen me post my Happy Fall Y'all Door Hanger Quilt I did earlier this Fall. One thing Cathy and I really enjoy about Fabric Confetti's Embroidery is that in her Applique in the hoop projects, she includes the SVG's which means Cathy can send her design right to her Brother Scan and Cut for perfect cutting of those small pieces. I can send them to my Cricut with the same results. So FUN!!!! |

Patterns
This Collection of patterns uses 1Yard Bundles 5pc for Lap Size Quilts and 3pc for Baby Quilts. They are SEW Cute!!! I love the system she has for help us select just the right fabrics. Here is a great YouTube link on how these patterns work by the author herself! Susan Ziegler starts with a great story and then (2min in) gets to exactly how to select your fabrics.
