 It's so hard to come up with titles for our newsletters, however this one came quite quickly.  As you know, we just released our first CaDi Candy Cache Mystery Box in February.  Did you see the big Reveal?? You can catch it HERE on our Shop Live Page.  The Designer featured was Corey Yoder of Coriander Quilts and the fabric line is her newly released Sunwashed.  Such pretty colors!!!  Well in the mystery box, we included a pattern called Daybreak by Thimble Blossoms to inspire you all.  As you will see below, Cathy just LOVES this quilt and she is letting us peek at her quilting Journey.....

It all started way back at the beginning of 2023, Cathy and I started our trip to the Northeast with a car packed and big plans!  For Christmas she bought us matching Journals (A Quilting Life Planner and Workbook By Sherri L McConnell) to map out and track our quilting and stitching projects.  While we wanted to jump right in and document, plan and shop, we were quite interrupted by having to pack and move me from St. Albans Vermont, to my new home in Ballston Spa.  Whew!!! What a lot of work that was!  I popped Cathy on a plane home at the beginning of February and received this picture which let me know, she was ready to dive in!  Doesn't she look sassy???  Love my sister!!!...
Cathy started sending me her journal progress.  Yep, she's getting her items mapped out.  See how pretty!  And Look!!! She's decided to do Socialites Sew Along!  But right up there on February 2nd is the Daybreak Pattern using Sunwashed fabrics!!

Perhaps this would be a good time to tell you what her fabric choices are for making Daybreak by Thimble Blossoms.  Here are her selections with links. In addition to what is in the CaDi Candy Cache Mystery box, Cathy decided to make all the star points in the same color, using (3/4 yd)  Bella Solid 9900 236 Nautical Blue She decided on Bella Solid 9900 200 Off White for the background (4yds). For the sashing, she selected Sunwashed 291-11 Cloud (1 1/4Yd) Cathy selected a coral print from the Layer Cake for the Cornerstones and for the Backing she is using Sunwashed Cloud 29160-11 (4 1/2 yds). You will need 3/4 yd. for the binding - see our selection of Sunwashed here.
And now, Cutting! Cathy is amazing at her cutting! It is SO accurate!  Look at all the pretty piles.  She sure has fun sending me her pretty pictures and I just LOVE getting them.  It inspires me to get going, get organized and stop petting the fabric!!!  I have trouble setting rotary cutter to beautiful fabric!!!!    But look, how awesome!!!
After her cutting party, she sent this.... I love design boards! They make everything so easy to store in between stitching sessions.  It's so inspiring to see everything lined up.  I just want to stop and pet the fabric, right?? She's off to a GREAT Start!
Now to start sewing! Wow! that is quite the chain! Using our BladeSaver Thread Cutter makes quick work of separating these! All Ironed and in need of Trimming
