Lions, Tigers and Bears - Oh My!

Not really, BUT, now that we have your attention. . . .

It seemed a snappier title than “Pandemic”. What interesting times we are living through!

Everyone’s life has been touched in one way or another by this nasty virus. Diane had her work hours severely cut (she works in the Data Management Office of a hospital); and I had a huge increase in work stress. (I work in a long term care facility – I am happy to report NO Covid-19 in my building).

What the United States quickly realized was an alarming shortage of appropriate supply of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) to adequately help prevent the spread of, and handling of those with the virus. The sewing community has stepped up to the plate all over the country! CaDi Corners has had the privilege of being a part of the St. Albans Face Mask group – Pam Cross, originated and led by Pam Cross. As of this writing, the group has made and donated over 13,000 masks to the area!

While we are so very privileged to live in a time of modern technology – where we have learned from the past and improved upon others’ ideas – we would be remiss to ignore where we have come from:

The next time you hear someone “poopoo” the idea of making and wearing fabric face masks, let them know that YOU are protecting THEM from YOUR germs!

AND . . . . there is no reason why you can’t have a little bit of fun while you’re at it:

(If I didn’t say it, my dear sister would have!)

We continue to order fabric to keep you all stitching! Be sure to check out our website!

Our Desire is that you all are safe, healthy, and happily sewing!

Until next time . . .
